Disney 2012

I keep thinking Disney World can't get any better-and then it does! This year was great. Luke enjoyed a lot of rides and Claire was my little thrill seeker! I think if given the chance, she would ride EVERYTHING! Unless it was dark, then she would scream and cry and shout "I'M CRYING!" just to make sure you knew she was displeased.  Sometimes, she's almost more fun than I can handle.

This year was especially fun because almost my entire family came along. Aunts, cousins, cousins babies! I'm so glad my children are blessed enough to have such a large, loving, family to love and support them.

 We had the best little travelers! We got so many nice compliments on what little angels we have!

Birthday 1,2,&3

She's not spoiled at all...3 birthday parties seems completely normal. I like to think that she's just loved that much, that she needs 3 parties to fit it all in.  We started with a little party at home for our gifts for her and whatever gifts we didn't want to take to Kansas City.  She loved her new bike (almost as much as Luke did) and enjoyed riding all through the house.  A candle in her ice cream cone made her night complete.

Then next night, her actual Birthday, we celebrated at Aunt Loretta's house with all her Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunt Loretta, and Auntie Brandy. It was perfect. And Great Grandma Yeakle's chocolate cake complete with dog candle made it's appearance.

The NEXT night, we had her big party with lots of friends to play with. It was a wonderful night and so heart warming to see so many people come to say "Happy Birthday" to our sweet girl.

Just one more Birthday celebration in Disney, and I think we can call it a wrap!

Lukism

Claire got all sorts of new equipment for Baby Stella for her Birthday. Included in that, is a high chair. Baby Stella spends a lot of time in the high chair (when she's not on the potty.) Yesterday, I saw Luke feeding Stella. It was adorable. He had a little bowl (pretend soup, according to him) and a spoon. He would alternate feeding her and giving her a bottle every few bites. I asked what he was doing, and in a tone that screamed "I have 50 million other things I'd love to be doing right now", he sighed and said "Oh, I'm just babysitting, again."  That little boy is the BEST. UNCLE. EVER. Baby Stella is very lucky to have him.

Apparently, Rocket needs a potty break every now and then too.

 And babysitting must have been delegated to Pluto this morning.

Claire: Year in Review

I can't quite grasp the idea that my baby is two. The idea of having a 3 year old AND a 2 year old almost sounds like more fun than I can handle. Here's to a fabulous year!

Conversations with Luke

After hearing Claire crying while I was getting ready this morning, I overheard this exchange.

Luke: Oh, Claire. I'm so sorry I pinched your finger in the Lego box.
Claire: I'm sad.
Luke: Don't be sad, it was an accident. Sometimes people pinch people's fingers in Lego boxes on accident. You'll be ok.
Claire: It's ok.
Luke: Yes, it's ok. You're my best girl, Claire. I think Mommy's my best girl. You can be my best baby girl and Mommy can be my best big girl. Let me kiss your finger. My kisses will make it all better. But my kisses don't work on your finger you shut in the car door. You shouldn't shut your fingers in car doors. That's a bad choice.

He may not sit quietly through every meal, but he's got the best heart. 

That will prove more useful in the long run.

 Remember these sweet babies? It's been awhile. I think I sort of forgot about the blog. I have been somewhat busy, but not THAT busy. My goal this week is to catch back up with it. Wish me luck!
